Mounting Cell or Tissue Samples in Gelvatol or Mowiol

(Protocol summary only for purposes of this preview site)

There are several aqueous mounting media that can be used for immunohistology. Suitable aqueous media are made from Gelvatol or Mowiol. If these are unavailable, glycerol can be substituted, but permanent mounts are not possible. This protocol has been adapted from Heimer and Taylor (1974) and Osborn and Weber (1982).
