Mounting Cell or Tissue Samples in DPX

Mounting media for immunohistology must be compatible with the detection method used. There are two classes of mounting media, nonaqueous and aqueous. A suitable nonaqueous mounting medium is DPX, which is used in this protocol. DPX is named for its components, 10 g of Distrene 80, 5 mL of dibutyl phthalate, and 35 mL of xylene.
