Coupling Antigens to Red Blood Cells

(Protocol summary only for purposes of this preview site)

Coupling antigens to red blood cells (RBCs, erythrocytes) can increase the immunogenicity of weak antigens. RBCs are large and induce strong immune responses if their surface antigens are mismatched or obtained from a different species. This protocol was adapted from Adler and Adler (1980).
